As basic as this may sound, the thing I look forward to most on the weekends is brunch. I mean, I would pretty much live off of mimosas and eggs benedict if I was allowed. I’ve been to my fair share of brunch spots in Orange County and, don’t get me wrong, I’ve had some delicious meals. But last weekend’s experience was one that’ll be hard to top.

Based in Newport Beach, Hornblower Cruises hosts a decadent Champagne Brunch Cruise every Saturday and Sunday. My mom was visiting from Orlando, so this was the perfect way to celebrate. We climbed aboard the luxurious Endless Dreams yacht at noon and sailed along Newport Harbor, taking in the most amazing views of the waterfront mansions, picturesque sailboats and even some famous landmarks.

As if the scenery wasn’t enough on its own, we enjoyed a mouthwatering brunch buffet filled with your traditional eggs and bacon as well as seafood, a meat-carving station and an entire dessert table. Oh yeah, and I almost forgot to mention the BOTTOMLESS MIMOSAS. With the free-flowing champagne, my glass was never empty. We enjoyed our meal while listening to live jazz in the dining room, then headed up to the sundeck to relax for the remainder of the cruise.

Of course, I wanted to dress for the occasion, so I wore an off-the-shoulder romper from Irene’s Story in fall’s color of the moment, bordeaux (shop it here). I wanted to look somewhat nautical, but not too summery, so I felt like this was the perfect option. It’s one of my favorite pieces I’ve bought for fall so far and I can’t wait to wear it again.

I would definitely recommend this cruise to anyone who has something to celebrate (even if it’s just the weekend). It’s perfect for a family outing, romantic date or even a fun work event. Check out Hornblower Cruises for more info about this and other yachting adventures.
