Festival season is officially here, and even though I may not be heading to the desert like the rest of SoCal, I can still take some outfit inspiration from those who are. As an Angelino for many years, I definitely had my fair share of Coachellaβ€”it’s an experience I’ll never forget. However, I’ve come to realize that the thing I enjoyed most about festivals, beyond the concert and craziness, was the outfit planning. So this year, I decided to ditch the weekend wristband and instead, invest in some festival-inspired wardrobe updates.

Of all the trends that emerge with festival season, one of my favorites is definitely fringe. Tops, bikinis, bagsβ€”it’s pretty much on everything. But this year, there was something new that this trend took over: jeans. Fringe denim has been popping up everywhere as of late, and I’m not mad about it. It adds some playfulness and personality to our otherwise basic blues. I absolutely love the way this pair from Pistola fits with its high rise and kick crop leg.

I styled them with a cute lace-up paisley tank I found at the new LF Outlet in Huntington Beach. LF Stores are an LA staple, especially during festival season, and the new outlet has all of their best styles from last season at a fraction of the price (this top was only $12!). It’s definitely a must-visit for any fashion lover in Orange County.

If you’ve been following my blog for a while, you might notice I’m a bit blonder than before. I was getting tired of my ombre situation and wanted to go back to a natural blonde shade for summer. I went to a new hair stylist in Orange County this time around, Chelsey Stinson at Hair Theory Salon (@chopsbychels), and I am so happy with the results!

Even though I’m taking a break from the festival scene this year, I hope the rest of you have a blast at Coachella, Burning Man and whatever other desert you might find yourself in this season.
