Dress: Lioness | Shoes: Dolce Vita | Bag: No Rest for Bridget (old) | Sunglasses: Madewell

An all-American classic, gingham is making its way into our wardrobes once again for the spring/summer seasons. It was widely apparent on the runways last fall that this trend was going to be major, so to no surprise, basically everyone’s been sporting it. Usually these iconic checks read preppy picnic vibes. However, brands are proving that it’s so much more than that, covering everything from Vans sneakers (thank you, Madewell) to head-turning tops in this must-have print.

I’m usually not one to take trends to the extreme, so I opted for a more simple silhouette a.k.a. this Lioness minidress from Revolve. It’s both timeless and totally of-the-moment —my style mantra if I had to have one. Oh, and it’s completely versatile, too. I paired it with my Dolce Vita mules (duh…) for a day on Melrose, but I could easily dress it up for date night with heels, statement earrings and a cute clutch. This gingham dress will surely be in my outfit rotation for the warm-weather months, and will be a piece I’ll definitely hold onto for the next time this classic trend rolls back around, because it inevitably will.

Will you be adding something gingham to your summer shopping list? Or are you already wearing this print everywhere? Share your thoughts in the comments!

  2. Looking great, hun! As Adele said, you really are the spitting image of Cher Horrowitz from Clueless! You have her great style and panache, too. What a total betty!
